The device allows for examinations of the gastrointestinal tract, chest, spine, musculoskeletal system, and soft tissues. According to the hospital, it can be used to perform both fluoroscopy and linear tomography.
Doctors and patients have already noted the convenience of the new system. Thanks to the fact that the tabletop can be positioned in different planes, it is possible to find a more comfortable position for the patient. In addition, the physical load on the medical staff during preparation for the procedure is reduced.
Radiologist Igor Matveev from the central district hospital said that the system has replaced the old film‑based device.
“The difference is noticeable. The image is clear, with good detail, which increases the accuracy of detecting pathologies. Examinations are completed faster. I would also like to note the user‑friendly interface and good performance of the “Electron” system.” “Fluoroscopy and linear tomography are provided, which expands our diagnostic capabilities,” Matveev explained.
According to specialists, using the digital system helps to organize the lab technician’s work more efficiently and save their time. The hospital adds that, ultimately, this affects the quality of medical care.
