Last year, the N.A. Semashko Central City Hospital in Rostov-on-Don was equipped with new X-ray equipment. The hospital received a Maxim fluorography device and a remote-controlled X-ray diagnostic complex manufactured by the Russian company Electron.
The devices allow for both prompt preventive examinations and the diagnosis of various pathologies, including tuberculosis, pneumonia, and oncological diseases.
According to the staff of the administration of GBU RO "TSGB named after N.A. Semashko", the domestic equipment proved to be reliable and high-quality for diagnostics, it successfully coped with the load of medical facilities. 7,405 studies were performed on the fluorograph, and 2,460 studies were performed on the X–ray system per year.
The new fluorograph is equipped with an X-ray protection cabin with a motorized lift and a video camera. Thanks to it, the laboratory assistant controls the correct positioning of the patient during the examination. This reduces the likelihood of errors and the need to repeat the procedure.
In addition to radiography, the digital multifunctional radiographic system operates in the modes of fluoroscopy and linear tomography. It can be used to identify diseases that previously had to be identified using more complex diagnostic methods. The device allows you to obtain high-quality images, which greatly simplifies the diagnosis. At the same time, the radiation load on both the patient and the doctors is minimal.
"The equipment showed the high quality of the research performed and the convenience in operation. I would also like to mention the simplest and most convenient control system. We are very pleased with the upgrade of the diagnostic systems," says the staff of the hospital's X–ray department.
The modernization of the equipment fleet has made it possible to expand the scope and range of research conducted at the hospital, as well as to increase the availability and quality of medical care for residents of the entire southern Federal District.
