NIPK Electron Co. in the Eurasian Orthopedic Forum - 2021

01.07.2021 NIPK Electron Co. took part in the Eurasian Orthopedic Forum - 2021, which took place from 24 to 25 June in Skolkovo in Moscow. This is the largest event in Eurasia in the field of orthopedics, traumatology and related industries.

NIPK Electron Co. presented a wide range of medical equipment  at the stand as part of a collective exhibition under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. The company demonstrated real samples and the capabilities of some of its developments: the ATRISS - wheight-bearing CT system, designed for lower limb research. The device allows you to obtain 3D images of the foot and ankle joint in a standing position, under natural load. Another development was also presented – an effective solution in the fight against COVID-19 from NIPK Electron Co. - the Modular CT Unit, which is equipped with a computed tomograph manufactured by NIPK Electron Co. The equipment is the main tool for emergency CT diagnostics of patients during pandemics and emergencies. The company's developments caused a lively response from visitors.

An extensive business program was organized within the framework of the Forum, including a battle "Russian manufacturers of medical devices and international corporations: competition or conflict" and a round table "On the development of the industry: topical issues of the production of medical devices and materials", which was attended by Alexander Elinson, CEO of NIPK Electron Co. In general, the sessions of the business program included discussion of such issues as: the development of the medical industry, regulation of the circulation of medical devices in traumatology, the prospect of production of medicines and medical equipment, technical support of medical institutions, interaction with foreign partners of the CIS countries, SCO, APEC and BRICS.

In addition to the exhibition and business program, a scientific program was also organized, where within the framework of the section "Topical issues of foot surgery" with an interesting report on the topic: "The possibilities and advantages of cone-beam computed tomography in the diagnosis of foot and ankle joint pathology" was presented by Alina Lobishcheva, a postgraduate student of the course of radiation diagnostics and radiation Therapy of the Department of Oncology of the Faculty of Medicine of St. Petersburg State University. During her speech, Alina Lobishcheva spoke about the modern diagnosis of foot and ankle joint pathologies using a unique device manufactured by NIPK Electron Co. for three-dimensional X-ray examination in the standing position of ATRISS. In total, the scientific program included 11 areas: traumatology; endoprosthetics; cellular technologies; anesthesiology and resuscitation; sports medicine; biotechnology; disaster medicine; vertebrology; oncology and bone diseases; pediatric traumatology and orthopedics. The forum covered all aspects of the treatment of traumatological and orthopedic diseases, including pharmacotherapy, radiology, anesthesiology, organizational and legal issues of protecting doctors.

EOF 2021 is an international platform for discussing issues of industrial, scientific and practical cooperation in the field of medical technologies and the production of medical devices. According to preliminary data, despite the restrictions imposed due to the spread of coronavirus infection, in 2021 the forum was attended by about 5,000 participants from 80 countries, as well as more than 200 Russian and foreign exhibitors.
